PSCLIENT Crashing after a few minutes of activity?
« on: September 17, 2012, 11:39:17 am »
Hello! So, I am new to the PlaneShift community and was all ready to play an what-not. When I started it up, the Launcher was saying that I am outdated, but after clicking 'OK' then 'PLAY' it proceeded to play, so I am going to assume that I am at the latest version...

Other than that, I log in and am trying to make my character and what not. It doesn't crash when I click anything, but rather after it's been playing for say, 5 or 10 minutes. And yes, it takes me longer than 10 minutes to create my character. I'm fickle and prefer a really fleshed-out character for Roleplay. Anyway, I have not managed to finish making my character, so I can't say if it's because of the Character Making, or if it really just the client messing up. Any help at all would be appreciated, and I've never done a help request like this so please tell me if I am forgetting anything. Thanks.

yay another RPer  \\o//
The path choosen when crating your character doesn't neccesarily have anything to do with the way you play it. I find it rather difficult to fit the background I thought of to fit it to the options you can choose.

To your problem: You can try changing the graphic options in the launcher (not sure if it helps if it really crashes in the character creation part, but it is worth a try)
Your graphic driver should be up to date. You could check that as well.

If it doesn't help, some information on your computer would be of help. Like which OS (Windows, Linux,...) you are using and some more technical details.
