[I missed the first few minutes, but Uadjet told me that he had just reminded people about the Enki jewelry before starting to talk about the Klyros jewelry.
Resildren: i saw it on the stream
Resildren: looks great
Gova: Ooh! I can be even more pretentious!
Uadjet: The Klyros jewelry is not yet available via character creation or admin command, but likely won't take too long to complete.
Uadjet: I'm not sure what he's going to work on next, but if he asks I'll suggest Stonehammer beards and battle tokens.
Uadjet: I just checked, and I think it's 3 types of tiara for Klyros.
Gova: I'm glad it isn't piercings.
Resildren grins
Anysu: Jewlery question
Gova: Piercing fins... it just sounds like piercing the webbing between your fingers.
Gova: And I think fish use fins to detect water movement, so they're likely even more sensitive.
Uadjet: Yes?
Anysu: Will the new jewlery be able to be removed like rings and necklaces now?
Uadjet: Well, right nown it's only removable via admin command.
Anysu: Do you know if that will change. So one can switch out new jewlery?
Uadjet: In the future it may be something equippable, as that is Talad's plan, but that would require adding equipment slots, changing the gui, plus the work in making them items in game.
Uadjet: We could, I suppose, simply add another slot to the bottom row, and call it... something. Cosmetic jewelry?
Resildren: nice glad i trained up so high in jewelery making
Anysu: Lastly, maybe asked before, will we be able to craft the new jewelry?
Uadjet: That is part of the plan, yes.
Anysu: thank you
Uadjet: Actually, it'll be easier than I thought. I still think in terms of the old crafting system.
Uadjet: Now you could just select which item you were wanting to make and click on that, instead of each item needing a unique combination of resources.
Uadjet: Yes, Lytoza?
Lytoza: Hi. Is there any plans to increase the number of shortcuts?
Uadjet: Not that I know of, but that is a common request. At least now each character can have their own set of shortcuts.
Lytoza: Yes, which is nice. I do miss the ability to name a shortcut and add a personal description for RP reasons.
Lytoza: ...or using proper greetings for races. No need to remember them. >.>
Uadjet: True. There is a wildcard used in quests ($race) that does something similar. I wonder...
Uadjet: Resildren?
Resildren: a continued question on shortcuts, is there any idea of tabbing? so one could have one for social, one for training, and another for combat?
Lytoza: Fine idea!
Lytoza: Original alt had 200 shortcuts available
Uadjet: I don't know if that's been suggested, but it sounds like a good idea. That's how our main shortcuts work, so it should be possible to set up the player-set shortcuts in a similar way.
Resildren: that would be great thank you
Uadjet: I'll pass that along.
Uadjet: Next bit of news is that Talad is looking into upgrading us from Unreal 5.1.1 to 5.4.3
Uadjet: A lot of the idfference is things we don't need, as they're resource intensive, but there are engine improvements in there that will be nice to have.
Lytoza: Makes sense then.
Uadjet: And there are new features to the development side of things, so assets can be created entirely within unreal. That'll make things a lot simpler.
Uadjet: Talad made some sample builds and let people in Discord download and test them.
Uadjet: Mac was a bit of a challenge, but he got it working.
Anysu: I tested it and it worked.
Anysu: On my mac. After I tried a few times it did not work since test server was not up.
>Anysu nods at Uadjet.
Uadjet: I don't think we'll be using features like Lumen or Nanite, as those seems quite resource intensive. I'm not sure those are meant for MMO's.
>You are not part of any group.
Uadjet: Oh, and Talad is back from Japan. There's a thread on Discord with pictures of the trip.
Gonger: I have some news from the PR department. I played necro, and revived two forum threads, one on the Dryken Plane, and one one getting ancient players back. I would appreciate more feedback there, because I feel that we still need changes in the Plane so as not to chase away newbies.
Lytoza: Love his mini-vacations that he provides for the PS community.
Gonger: A few days ago I talked to a newbie who let me know that he was SOOOO close to uninstall because of the Plane.
>Anysu sighs dramatically.
Gonger: We talked about this before, but methinks we need to keep talking so as to get more improvements there.
Gonger: I like Talad's idea of one-way drops, which should make things easier for newbies.
Lytoza: Agreed
Gonger: So there is still hope for further improvements...

>Anysu nods.
Gonger: And getting ancient players back would mean a lot of players with characters that are beyond the plane already...
Resildren: would probably help to let the newbies know they have a walk command as well
Gonger: I will keep pushing Talad, no problem, but support is more than welcome, if only through a post saying, "We need more improvements"
Uadjet: That would be helpful, yes.
Lytoza: Is anyone helping you with ingame petitions?
Gonger: Petitions are mostly treated by Game Masters, I believe.
Gonger: Not sure Talad looks at them.
Uadjet: No, that's just me. I do slip on those, as in the Legacy version of the game I could just set up a /managepetitions command in autoexec, and the petitions would be the first thing I saw every time I logged in.
Gonger: But I see your point, Lytoza.
Lytoza: Sounds like a feture request is needed
Gonger: A frustrated newbie could easily write a petition, and does not have to join Discord or the forums to give a statement.
Gonger: Oh, one of the Woiperdinger guild just logged on.
Anysu: Never heard of that guild.
Lytoza: Fine guild
Gonger: Very old guild.
Anysu: Nor heard of that player character.
Gonger: Woiperdinger is Bavarian for Wolpertinger. Google Wolpertinger for some fun
Uadjet: Ahh, I thought it was like a jackalope until I saw the wings.
Anysu: Yup that was unusual.
Uadjet: With regard to your petitions, I've mostly been trying to wrap my head around the ring of summon familiar one. The quest does take and replace the ring as part of the quest, but I'll be damed if I can figure out why.
Gonger: We should add Wolpertingers to PlaneShift... Or the equally famous Stone Louse (also a German invention)
Uadjet: As given items always go into general inventory, it would prevent you from doing anything with the summoned creatures until it is equipped again.
Uadjet: That would cause most of the issues.
Uadjet: The ring not being visable could be that it was placed into a container, but that only happens if all general slots are full.
Anysu: Ring of familiar is bugged?
Uadjet: I'm going to ask Talad why the quest takes and gives the actual ring, when a bit of bracketed text could give that impression while leaving the ring equiipped.
Lytoza: I just had a strange experience with it. First of all my mount was underneath the magic shop with only it's face appearing. ^ ^
Uadjet: The spawn location of the mounts might not have been updated to the new map properly.
Lytoza: Could be
Lytoza: Maybe they should spawn outside the magic shop?
Resildren: and every time i call him, he's sitting on me
Resildren: akward
Lytoza: sounds akward but amusing at the same time
Lytoza: A drifter can't get outside the door and immediately needs to be dismissed.
Uadjet: There's a script that controls that: create_rivnak_familiar
Uadjet: I assume the coordinates are in there.
Uadjet: Well, as usual we're well past the hour, so I think we can bring the meeting to a close.
Anysu: Thanks for updates
Lytoza: Thanks for your time and new details on what is happening in the game.
Gonger: Thank you, Uadjet. And Support your local PR team.
Uadjet: Have fun playing, and I'll see you again in two weeks!
Resildren: yes thanks
Gonger: As usual, leave the room before quitting.
