Favourite OS ?

my favourite OS: Linux (for the past 5 years!!)
my favourite distro: Gentoo (for almost the past year)

well, now that that is settled, let\'s get to flaming

i agree that win3.1 is the last win* that i\'d call working flawless.
i agree that there\'s a possibility to make winxp run ok, and that there\'s a possibility to make linux run like crap ...but the main difference is that in both cases you have to really put yourself into doing that. but in my experience (as an ex-dual-booter and a brother to a win-xp person) my linux install (without much effort) is way stabler then my brothers winxp. ...but let\'s not start another OS-war ...OS/distro/other-flame wars are just a nuissance. :rolleyes:

I have Windows XP on my laptop. It\'s fairly nice once you get used to it, but t has a real problem when it comes to compatibility with hardware. Thats why I still have Windows 98 on my desktop. WIndows 98 is unbeatable. Best OS.

Even Billy G admits that 5% of Windows systems crash more than twice a day!
And the US DOHS says that Microsoft OS\'s can\'t be trusted (not that it stops those clowns from buying $90 million worth of crap from Redmond).

Me, I use linux, gentoo where possible. But any other distribution has its benefits.

FreeBSD is an option (since there are nvidia drivers and you can play ut2k3...), but for me it had no advantages, so I stick to linux for now
