Now or later?

Playing PlaneShift really sounds like fun, but I want my character to be a Klyro(s) wich I can\'t choose now. I heard something about that all of the accounts will be deleted when the beta comes out. Does that mean I can/have to start all over with the same account name, and create a new character?

All characters will be wiped when the next release gets out, and you can probably have the same name, as long as no one else takes it

So playing now is basicly to know the game a bit, and not for being succesfull or something?

Well, there has been some discussion if players that played alot should have some sort of \"medal\", or advantage later on ingame. The main reason people play right now is to find bugs, and socialize with other players
