AMD Processor?!
«

I was just wondering if an AMD processor of any sort would cause my computer to crash while playing this game. I have had previous experiences with EverQuest that would cause me to crash because of my processor and im hoping this wont be the same.

i use AMD so i can\'t imagine that that would be the problem have you ever tought of hardware problems like memory that\'s dead or a hd or tv card those can do nasty things.

No, it shouldn\'t give any problems unless u\'r using an
Athlon 64, as I not sure if they can run PS. But otherwise, u should be fine.

I thought Athlon 64 was also 32 bit program compatible. Even with Athlon 64, it should work (I think).

Crash? What does mean \"crash\"? Computers are good at achieving dozens of various crashes. But if it simply freezes, perhaps you might check if the CPU isn\'t overheating, AMD processors tend to do that. If not, post more details. I have AMD too and have never run into problems just \"because it\'s AMD\". I have, however, run into problems because of the temperature

It is 32 bit compatible, but not 16 bit compatible. So any 16 bit stuff in PS can\'t be run. (I dunno if there is 16 bit stuff in PS)

if i\'m right AMD never released a 16 bit processor so it might be impossible and still with the introcuction of the 133 MHz cpu 32 bit was also introduced so i think he wouldn\'t have a 16 bit CPU cuz PS won\'t even run on thet

All 32 bit processors run 32 bit and 16 bit.
All 64 bit processors run 64 bit and 32 bit.
So unless he got a 64 bit processor he can run all the 16 bit processes.
So he shouldn\'t have any problems with CPU.
