Canada has loads of fibre-optic lines..we could have those obscenely fast connections if we\'d just use them.

Well, their government is just spending a lot of money on that whole IT-infrastructure.
Hasn\'t much to do with technology, the people in charge here just don\'t think it\'s important enough to spend that much money on it.
