Buddy connect?
« on: December 13, 2003, 12:57:11 pm »
Straight forward: I think that anyone on our buddy list should be able to serve as a transportation link! Like lets say your in one part of the world and your friends in another, then you could click their name in the buddy list and be transported to them by a kinda \"friendship bond!\" Then you\'ll be able to venture together quickly! What do you think?

So ye want to turn people into teleport thingies?
How about adding whole community to the buddy list?
Besides that, another thing for ruining rp... and game as well...

Ouch, i really don\'t like this idea:
- *really* not realistic.
- teleporting is no fun. Travelling through the world is.

An high-level mage can maybe summon you but just a click is IMHO a bit too easy

Ok,well explain the whole mage idea and lets go with that! First off, does the person have to be a mage to use this summoning method?

Some high-level mage (maybe Azure Way) can learn Teleport Spells . With such spells, they can teleport them, teleport their friends near them, create temporary portals. But this must extremely high magic with some drawbacks so you won\'t see high-level char teleporting everywhere 8 times per minutes. (by drawback i mean lose of great amounts of hp/mp, can\'t teleport some items so they must left them on the ground and even maybe decrease of skills if somone teleport too often)

Because teleport sucks.

im hoping the flying animals will be the only half teleport item. flying animals will be one thing that hasnt been completely implemented in a mmorpg.

Wow this would be horrible. Ok you have to get to level 6 of a dungeon and get through several mobs to complete a quest, but instead you have someone on your buddy list that is already there and got through the dungeon, you would be able to just teleport there? Or I know the idea of PvP is up in the air but say there are guild battles (just as an example) and all of a sudden someone is teleporting their whole buddy lists there because they are losing the battle? I know these are real general examples (some which might not even fit into the game) but they were just a few reasons why I thought this would be bad.

Teleportation has already been discussed (there are two threads on it) and the devs have made it clear that it will most likely not appear in PS.
