Cool events involving a certain bio-booster armor
« on: February 05, 2004, 05:53:37 pm »
I might not have told this to anyone before, but i once lived in a different country from England. I used to go to this school and the was a guy who had a video which he lent to everyone in my class. I was about 5 at that time. Anyway, my turn came and i finnaly had the video. At that time in my country I had very little perspective of the world and didn\'t fully realise the quality of products around since the country was quite isolated from the rest of you guys. I was used to watching fully translated quality films on a poor video since all our movies were the most modern and bestly thought of, but they were all illegal copies. That applied to all the games and cloths there as well.
Okay so, I  had the video and started watching it. It was called the guyver and had two films in it, guyver 1 and 2. To me it seemed like the best film ever made and the mutations that were in the film looked really cool to me.
I borrowed that video from the original owner all the time since then. But then i left the country and came back a year later forgeting all about the wonderful film. X(  I spent a year remembering about this film that i had seen somwhere but couldn\'t put my finger on it. then after about another year of tolerating poor versions of good films on video i got a video of an Arnold Schwartsneiger (not sure about the name) film and watched it at the end of this kinda cool action film involving a police officer on a horse (strange how i still remember this) this animation came on with the name of guyver sumthin.. sumthin.. I was partially excited and at the same time wondering why. It was infact the anime version of the film. I remember something about the visual effects that really impressed me. It was indeed a good animation, but i think i only watched one of the series. After that in school i reminded everyone about the film and the kids started asking the owner for the film again and again. I got it first of course and compared the animation with the movie, kinda reminising partly. Then I went to England and stayed here until now, i was about 7 when i left. I forgot all about the film again, but a certain anime rating board jogged my memory and now 8 years later since when i forgot all about the film i find myself looking at every tape rentals for the films or the anime series. But unfortunately non can be found yet. It is a shame to think that such a gift to this world could be wasted. I hope they make a more modern version of the film, or carry on from the second film. Maye continue the anime series?

I have to say that it had been long since i had seen this film ( very long) so i might only be praising it so much cause the brain remembers mostly good parts of your life (and so maybe the same applies to films?) and the film was dvanced for its age. I have read in many fan sites that there is crap voice acting and even more cheesy mutants in the film (i think someone compared them to the power raingers monsters, eww). But i think even if the fim and anime visuals or sounds where not that good, i say its the concepts that matters and maybe these could someday be continued?

the first film it turns out was made in 1989 and the second in 1994 (which they say is much better).

I am not sure of the name of your movie. However there is a great series that is called  M.D. Giest.      ( I think that is correct.)  stands for  Most Dangerous Giest.

The one movie that my friend had of it was awsome.  I used to like macross and all those movies but now that is my all time favorite.

Maybe that is the name your looking for.

Well, no, i\'m pretty sure about the name. It is called the guyver and involves this alien armor thingy and mutants. You can search it up on a search engin if you want. I believe if you watch it you should like it. In fact everyone should watch it, including me, again.
