better (IMO) remote chat feature

i personally dont like shout systems... they get rid of the purpose of meeting places and stop ppl travelling

what i would rather see is some kind of crystal/stone that you can link to other stones and talk through them, that way you can link your stone to your friends and talk to them over large distances

anyone else you would have to goto their house or meet them in a tavern etc

but you wont be able to shout out of the area you are in (just guessing) in cb since there will probably be different areas
eg. hydlaa plaza is one area then when you leave hydlaa the next area has to load

I agree, I hate the shout system.  It is overused.  It\'s not that they should completely do away with shouts, they just need to change the distance it can be used.  Someone shouting from the dungeon isn\'t going to be heard up in the tavern.  Hell shouting from the dungeons probably wouldn\'t reach some parts of the dungeon itself.  And if you need to talk to certain people, you can still use the tell command.

Only n00bs don't quote themselves...

Shouting is a big problem in many MMORPG\'s. I\'m sure the dev\'s realize this and are working on something to at least improve past problems. It would be cool if they made a way where tavern\'s were more useful, maybe they could make an in-game benefit to going to a tavern to find a group. I.E. make some motivation to use a tavern to meet people and find groups.
