On the lungs of a Kran....
« on: February 18, 2004, 03:57:19 am »
I just downloaded planeshift and so far i\'m totally impressed by the level of detail in a free game!

When i created my character, i created a Kran so i decided to read up on the race and since i wasn\'t sure where to post something like this, i\'ll post it here.

On the planshift website, under the Kran race page (http://www.planeshift.it/razkran.htm) it says in the Kran \"still support oxygen linkages, so Kran breathe much more slowly than other races, enabling them to happily breathe underwater\" but then in the rules section it says \"They don\'t breathe so they can\'t drown\"

I was confused by this. It clearly says that they still breath just more slowly... wouldn\'t that mean that they can still drown but live underwater in a way similar to a dolphin, having to return to the surface periodically for more air?

I suppose it is possible, since most rock is porous to some extent, that they simply absorb water and separate oxygen that way... but i guess my main question is do Kran breath or dont they?

I think that was a mistake, and Kran do not need to breathe at all, but I could be mistaken...

There are some contradictions on the site, we just need to wait for some dev to clear this up.
