Custom Recipes

How about  being able to design your own recipes for potions and stuf. You could mix things together and depending on whats in it, determines what it does and the strength of it.

example:
Mixing hog\'s eye with some Tera flowers would come out with a very basic health potin; but say if you add Moonfruit, the potion would become a better health potion, or there would be a whole other outcome alltogether.


And this way the alchemists or whatever they\'re called could trade recipies and stuf.:tup:

By the way i did search for this, and if it was mentioned before you can flame me, but don\'t be too harsh... I bruise easily.

I would flame you for the fact that you posted such a meaningless idea when there are so many other more important and basic things for the devs to do, but... I do understand that this is a \"wish\" list, and therefore discretion is not mandatory. So I won\'t.

Wow Phinehas, that was really rude. His (or her) post I thought was perfectly valid and an interesting suggestion. It would be cool if potion recipes were somewhat dynamic, and having to try things and then finding new recipes and sharing them with others would add a little more community to the game.

The point of this forum is that any player with an idea can post. As you said, the devs have so many other more important things to do, so it\'s not very likely they would have the time to even come up with this idea or ones similar. The subtleties in a project like this are often looked over in favor of the basics which need to be done first, but in the end it\'s all the subtleties that really make a game great, or at least original.

Oh, and I think your reply was the meaningless post really. If you didn\'t like the idea because you thought it sucked, or you had a better one, then it would have been justified. But your post was just a thinly disguised non-constructive flame.

I think this is a fantastic idea, but as someone already mentioned there are a lot of more important stuff the devs need to do before getting into this much detail in the game.

But lets imagine that once in the distant future there are, oh say 200 different potion ingredients in the game world and no official documentation on how they should be combined. And consider that one could mix several ingrediants for one potion, the possibilities would be endless. This would make the crafting system a lot more exciting as players research and trade recipes with eachother and even sell their own secret potions on the street for large amounts of money.

Oh, and Phineas: Do you really have to flame people so much? I don\'t think they like it..
