Connection problems
« on: March 03, 2004, 10:55:01 pm »
Ok, I downloaded ps and updated it and everything, I the settings and things (like the res. and rendering, all that) set to...

Screen resolution 1024x760
Full screen mode on
renderer open GL
Screen depth 16 bit
sound and music on

and I have gone through and set the compatibility of the game to Windows ME/Windows 98 since i run XP
but every time I try to connect to the server it says intializing world and then I get an error message saying that psclient has run into a problem and must close. We\'re sorry for the inconvience. and I get that send report thing. And yes I am only posting this because I have gone through the other forums and tried what was suggested. I saw that other people had the same problem, that Windows said the game wasn\'t responding and that Windows  thought it had to recalculate the lighting and to fix this I should let the game sit for up o 2 hours or more. So I tried, I started connecting, got the error message, then left the computer alone for about an hour and a half before the game shut itself down. So, I tried again and the same thing happened. How can I fix this? please

My system specs are...

OS: Microsoft Windows XP professinal
System manufactorer Compaq
System model Compaq PC
Processer Intel pentium III, ~440MHz
Memory 352 MB RAM
Direct X version 9.0
Graphic card name NVIDIA GeForce2 MX/MX 400
Chip type GeForce2 MX/MX 400
DAC type Integrated RAMDAC
Approx. total memory 64 MB

I hope thats everything needed, or it may be too much *shrug* Oh well. Just How can I get Planeshift to work?

Your CPU is kinda old
I don\'t think PS will run any good at that clockfreqenzy

And if you have some spare money, buy yourself a new GH card. GeForce 2 MX is the worst IMO
