Making Introductions
« on: June 06, 2004, 03:23:38 am »
Okay, so enough lurking... time to say \'hello!\' to one and all  :))
I finally managed to get in game and it looks like it\'ll be awesome when complete (now if I can just get moving around more than a couple steps/hr ?)  To all who have so tirelessly made the step by step guides and answered the endless number of questions, give yourselves a pat on the back(and whatever else you may like?) for a job well done!

Aww.. thanx for the welcomes.

The game might not be much fun yet and  getting it to work seems to be the real challenge for now, but it\'ll be kind of fun though to see it progress through development.   Uh huh, some day we\'ll  all be able to think back and say, \"I remember when.... \"   ;)

Hey, hope to you ingame sometime as well and thanx for the info(I think I\'ve read just about every section of the noob threads) but it\'s not seeiming to help me.  I think the time may have come for an upgrade either that or there\'s some other problem I\'m not finding?  But I shall conquer!

What are your \"stats\"?
It\'s all about RAM with this game (processor speed is important too, of course).

I only have 128MB for RAM,  :(  and 1.7 GHz processor.  I have tweaked up my Virtual memory which seemed to make it a little better, and it seems to get better each time I get in.. but yeah, I\'ll probably need more RAM to really get it moving any amount.

Heh, yep, get more RAM.  It\'s cheap these days.  ;)
Also, if you have WinXP, 128mb is death.

\"RamBooster\" is a ram-freeing app that works well.  :D

Oh No!, I have the kiss of death! (running XP..)  I just downloaded Rambooster... it\'s worth a try until I can get my hands on some more RAM and have my brother  install it for me when he has time.  I dare not try it myself!     Thanx for the help, much appreciated.

hmm, that\'s odd, I have 128 with XP, but I run PS fine, on my 800 Mhz, PIII

I haven\'t got any \"lag\" (I know it\'s actually framerate, but a lot of people consider it to just be a different king os lag) problems whatsoever.

we are the music-makers, we are the dreamers of dreams - Gene Wilder as willy wonka

Johnny Depp\'s a poser to the throne. No one will ever play the part as well as Gene Wilder

Aww... Now that\'s just not fair!   ;(    Now I don\'t know what to think, maybe reinstall the game?
Yep, I\'m in a nightmare.  Running, running... but going nowhere.  Wake me Up!! (plz?)   ;)
