DEF FILES
« on: June 20, 2004, 05:46:25 am »
I installed planeshift using the RPMs but when i try to run setup it says:

Crystal Space X windows driver
(Using SHM extension plugin)
Using 24 bit TrueColor visual
686 GenuineIntel CPU detected; FPU (yes) MMX (yes) CMOV (yes)
Using windowed mode 640x480 (internal rendering at 640x480).
Using truecolor mode with 4 bytes per pixel and 8:8:8 RGB mode.
        loading definitions file /this/data/config/psclient-setup.def...
Couldn\'t open def file
couldn\'t load definition file!
[ben@localhost ben]$ man planeshift
No manual entry for planeshift

and if I try to run the client it says:

ERROR: csInitializer::SetupConfigManager failed!
Is your CRYSTAL environment variable set?

HELP ME PLZ!!!!

But are your variables set correctly?

export CRYSTAL=/path/to/your/planeshift/dir
export CEL=/path/to/your/cel/dir
export CSCONFPATH=/path/to/your/cel/dir

I just noticed that you used a rpm to install PS. How is it called? Could it be that you did just install PS but not CS and CEL?
I can remember that there was a rpm around which was suspicious since there were some files missing from it.
