Well , in case you don t like the current version, and decide to uninstall it 3 days later , cause it s laggy , and cause you can t do anything, i would HIGHLY suggest you to subscribe to the malling list which is very low traffic ( less than a mail / month ) , and you ll receive all majors new there ( like one about the a PS release ).
Also , there s a lot of peoples which doesn t play the game , but hangs on the forums, chat on the irc, learn how to produce PS stuff and sometime give some help ( fixing this or that , making models , art , ect..), while waiting for the new release.
If you are currious, as the game is open source , you can learn all the in and out of the game, how it works , ect .... the devs are quite busy and kept being bugged with questions , and eatch question they answer ( a lot ) is time lost for coding. But members of the community will be glad to answer questions ( if they have not already been asked 1000 time the same, and put the answer in a site they made, and in the forum, and in a fac, and on a channel topic)
The only things you can get from the upcoming release is the source for both server and client, and some sample/test datas ( means you have to know how to compile stuff to use it )
