So, the only things that migrate is the name and the money?

So, I can choose out the special skills (aka: player properties) and other stuff all over again?

Character creation is quite different so yes, you will have to choose the skills and such all over again.

Yes, it indeed will not, and this is totally in-line with my current interpretation, which has superceded the one in the colorful post.

It now is my impression that the migration period will merely allow anyone to reserve their MB name and probably preserve their crystals. So the CB and MB game servers may very well both be offline. Also, as stated by Androgos, the CB database server will not be manipulated (and might be offline as well), but that doesn\'t matter.

Nobody will be able to create a CB account during that time, as well as an MB account.

After the migration period, you\'ll be able to create an accoutn in CB, just as anyone else. However, on creation of said account, you\'ll be prompted to enter an email address. This is the link to your MB account reservation (at which you\'ll probably be prompted for one, along with your MB password, or the one you registered in MB will be used), and will unlock the name and crystals. You then go on to normal CB char creation, as stated in my previous posts.

Hmm, I understand now, I like this idea, it means that regardless of download ability, people will not be able to play until the two weeks or so are up... very nice.

Enter_the_Xero, you will definitely need to choose skills again, as the MB skills are little more than pretty numbers on a screen, CB actually has skills implemented, and they can increase...

I can\'t wait for the char creation, I always love creating a character, the more options the happier I am.

OT: I want City of Heroes, I hear it has -the best- character creation... It\'s not out here yet though...

When the migration period starts.

About the game servers, that\'s what I think will happen, or is most likely. But we maybe we will have the server online. Only time will tell

@ Adeli: I don\'t mind. It is nice to increase in percieved coolness by gaining a higher PC, but I don\'t have the time to post frequently while maintaining a reasonable standard of quality (not insulting anyone who does have the time), so feel free to rocket past. :]

I could of course begin to reply to each and every of the n00b\'s \"what is linkdead\" threads... :D then again, it\'s not worth the effort.

I REALLY UNDERSTOOD NOTHING !!! I\'m not english and it\'s sometimes hard to me to understand a long text but here as I\'ve the feeling that nobody here really knows what will happen and that the one that know arent here, I\'m lost...

Personnaly if I want to create a dermorian character with a totaly different name without loosing MY GUILD and my xtals what does I do ??? and if the skill chosen isn\'t availlable do I erase my character and wait 2weeks more for character creation ?

And in fact do you really think that it weren\'t easier if people have a login with their MB name for example and 4 characters (with no name confusion with the login) ?

Finally if I want to create another character I must disband my Guild just for that or choose the same name ??? and then some people are choosing CB name with MB name as firstname and some others with MB name as last name. So What do they think ???

For me this thread is a totally confused one so please the ones that answer please be sure of what you say...

Why we didn\'t just create MB -> CB accounts?

1. The account name is your email which needs to be verified, MB didn\'t ask for that and therefor we don\'t have it
2. We have 253903 registered players and accounts as I write this, how many are Link dead accounts? How many belongs to same person?
3. How many guilds do we have? A lot. For you to reserve the guild, you have to reserv your name. You could always have 2 chars and then give the second leader status

Alright, in my case, i have two characters.. currently Slatz, and my original Xyko.. id like to reserve the name for both.. however, i dont remember the password to Xyko (see my post labeled Password Woes in Technical Help for more info).. step by step what would i do to reserve the names.. and is it required that i know the pw for the names i want to reserve?
