6k tria with 100 rubies 11 emeralds seems odd, compared to 9.5k with 7 or 8 diamonds and however many rubies and emeralds...

Using that logic I should have 630K, and others would have several million :P  But obviously that would make things unbalanced.   The system the devs used is obviously not linear, more like an exponential decay.  That way everyone has similar amounts of tria, but those who collected more still have a bit more.

I was never too good at the whole \"finding crystals\" bit...that and I only came 2 months ago, but for 7 Rubies and 1 Emerald I got 1150 trias...

Sure its not much, but for what I collected, I think it was pretty good...too bad I didn\'t collect more and get the ring though...:-/

I cant belive what im hearing. People are complaining for getting 4000 tria!
That should make you cry from joy considering a farmers monthly pay is about 200 tria!
The conversion rate was supp be 10:1 so it you had 10 rubies you got one tria. 500 rubies would be 50 tria. So fall on your knees and thank talad and laanx

ummm yeah.. but if everyone suddenly has 10 times as much, then everything will be 10 times as expensive.  Supply and demand.  I mean not for basic items but for things that finite in numbers, or that the dev want to restrict, are going to become a whole lot more expensive because otherwise everyone would have them.  Like a house for example.  It\'s probablly going to cost like 1 million tria now because lots of people have started out with 5000-10000. I mean it isnt real life so the devs could make everything as cheap as they said before, but then pretty much anyone can buy anything, which is a bit pointless.   We obviously wont know until we get into the game and find out the prices of everything, and ill be suprised if the prices stay the same as the ones they mentioned before in the player guide.

actually i think some dev mentioned that it will be something like 100:1 (meaning i would get around 2 tria instead of almost seven thousand)

also, i only got a ring of the past on my past char, am i allowed to transfer it somehow? or would that be considered cheating since my new char only had time to collect 15 rubies (worth 880 tria)...

You can transfer money and prehaps rings, although I think the rings are binded to the player, to other characters.

The formula for conversion wasn\'t a simple x:y. It wasn\'t linear at all, so lots of things were taken into account, which had lots of things done to them :)
