You turn off sound by running pssetup (you should have a start menu icon for it). Changing sound to Direct3D also seems to prevent crashes for me.

Ok, my client would not load with OpenAL, and if I select a NPC, and do one of it\'s functions (IE Right click> select option), it works fine. But if I immediatly try to do another option, the client locks up.

If PS does not load, and you have the CS engine installed, make sure that the enviroment variable is correct (meaning not pointing to the CS dir but the PS dir).

Never turn on Vertex Buffer Object in the Advanced options section of pssetup.
Don\'t know what this was supposed to do but when \"on\" it crashes more often for me.

Being new to PS, everytime I would speak with /advisor, the game crashed... so... hmmm... I guess it\'s not a good thing to use it?

Ever since I got the latest update the game crashes while loading Hydlaa Plaza or while loading the login menu, which it never did before..

However, whenever I do manage to enter (rarely), I seem to be free of crashes..

After entering Hydlaa Plaza, the first step I make or the first button I click on makes the game crash, even with my sound off. Does the problem come from me or from CB?
