Clarification:  It isnt religion that causes war or bad feeling to others, its the fantatical believers that think they are right and everyone else is wrong.  

That is what causes hatred and breeds racism in the world.  Nazi\'s are a prime example, certain schools of thought show that they believed that they were doing god\'s unfinished work in creating a master race.  
Evangelical christians were the cause of most of the hatred towards other belief systems in the world.  

Youve heard of the crusades right?  Big puritans wandering the world going \'ha a heretic, you dont believe in our god so therefore you shall die for your beliefs\'. Nice bunch of people werent they?

O BTW a lot of people dont realise that it was a muslim who discovered the real properties of light and how it works, originally christians thought that our eyes omitted the light and \'lit up\' the object in front of us.  This guy goes into solitary for 12 years in the 7th century and discovers that \'hold on a second it hurts when I look at the sun\'  so therefore light is omitted as rays.

Back to the point, religions as a theory are a good thing for those people who cannot hold themselves responsible for their own actions and have to use a moral and spiritual crutch in order to survive.

Anybody ever seen a film called ferenheit 451, or 1984.  Farenheit 451 showed us a world where cencorship went mad and all books were thought of as a bad influence on our society, ok if you insist sir.
Nothing gives people the right to say what is bad for you, it is the choice that you have to make as a senient being that dictates who you are and how you think.  If we are controlled then Big Brother wins!

The establishment must continue to exist.  It exists to protect you.  Things that are taxed or banned are often taxed or banned for a very legitimate reason.  However, you must not let the establishment fall into the wrong hands, it is a tool, and can be used for both good and evil.


Most of the posts in this thread are very uninformed rants of people who feel oppressed or angsty.  I find most of them dull, very repetitive, and rather annoying.  The amount of Hate here is not productive and is entirely misdirected.  Bardialus seems to be the only voice of reason...

Now, killing people, listening to metal, burning cars, etc.  won\'t help much.  Neither is Christianity the enemy.  
Here\'s what you need to do: Parents must be taught how to raise their children without resorting to book burning.  This means you need to make them learn about how they need to be informed.  Once that is done, you will have greatly lowered the amount of votes cast out of laziness, this makes politicians care less about censoring and focus on more (or less) important issues.
I guarantee they won\'t listen to you in your current state.  That yelling and screaming won\'t do; you must become professional.  You must look and act professional.  You must look like the establishment.  That means you can\'t say anything too outrageous to begin with, because then you won\'t be listened to ever again.  You\'ll also need positions of authority.  The opinions of the jobless & janitors are not respected very well.  And you\'ll have to stay off drugs, alcohol, etc: they can warp your mind, but even if they don\'t, people will think they did.
