To be honest I couldn\'t name any invite-only guilds who\'s sole purpose is helping the community... the only reason I ever look at the Guilds forum is when someone links me to a thread here. In this case, Sep linked me, so I decided to read what he was going on about.

Once again, that was not the point of my post.

Invite-only is the same thing, but in fact this is better then that for two reasons.

1.  It tries to help the community (this is the point you confused as the main one of my post, going by what you say, this actually makes it better then those guilds in theory).

2.  It is not a guild, if anyone really wanted to be they could be included.

Do I need to make it even more simple then that?

Oh yes, to reask the question, point out to me what is so different between the two concepts that makes this somehow worse.

Nobody needs to join a guild to be a mercenary, and still people join the Mercenary Guild -_-. So we do the same thing about helping the community. Gather a few people and do it together rather than separatly. That\'s why there are guilds and organizations.

It\'s not like we\'re casting ourselves out of the community or we wouldn\'t go through the trouble of helping it... You used Merdarion\'s words, not Exsequor\'s.

And Kiern is correct. You have nothing against The Society,  you have something against Annah. I ask you to leave the rest of The Society out of it, unless Annah asks us to help him, which I doubt greatly. We haven\'t done anything that justifies you calling us a bunch of egocentric pricks, and if Annah did that\'s between both of you.

Now everyone stop arguing while we\'re all still cool . Focus!

So... anyway, Ghostslayer, if an evil character agrees that having an unstable community might not be benefitial than that person should do its best to stop it from degradating.

Annah, I was the one who kept pushing Sep to make a truce with you. But after what you did few days ago I can\'t honestly tell him that he should lay off anymore. You know well enough that what you did was wrong and you know Sep has right to be mad.

Well when it comes to me:
Many times you threated me that you\'ll hack me.
You tried to turn Grono and Aendar against me and god knows how many other people that didn\'t tell me about it.
You kept offending me in PMs from the obvious reason.
You kept telling me that you\'ll get me kicked from DE.
And all this while being allies. Roleplaying? I don\'t think so.

But it\'s all past, I don\'t really care anymore. Like they say Forgive and Forget. But please, don\'t act as if you were innocent...

what exactly has your team acheaved so far? surely you can tell people what you have already done so please do go on to tell the exploits of this this  fixing the community.

Seriously, there is no end to this discussion. I\'ve been in for 2 weeks but from what I\'ve understood the organisation hasn\'t done anything yet.
What\'s sad is that if we would have done something and then posted our deeds here, people would have said that we are only looking for fame...
When you think about it there is absolutely no reason for anybody to criticize this organisation.

I never said we really did anything, I said we try doing it . Like I mentioned before I\'m not an old member of this organization and information of past achievements has yet to reach me.

Valbandr, I believe the names of the current members and the guild itself would be divulged sooner or later by someone else. It\'s better that we\'re the ones to show it to the public.
The Society allows its members to belong to a Guild without any problems. It\'s like being a member of a political, or sport organization, you can work as a mailman and still participate in it.

Annah just started this thread, he is not our leader like he already mentioned. Now that I think of it, some one else should have done it, since the conversation seemed to focus on Annah rather than on The Society. But you never know when angry people will jump at you, or what to expect from them for that matter ^^.

Finally, I request that if anyone has anything to say about Annah PM it to him. At least have some respect for the other members of this organization by not making this thread any more messy ^^.

Well Sangwa some people just love to throw dirt at Annah and anything he does. It\'s a sport for them, the more public the better.

As said before even if Annah would help any newb to Planeshift out, people would complain about.

It all resumes to a matter of tastes. I am not liked by some. So, this means everyone should feel this way. Personally, this is a very stupid way of thinking.
