Yes, Melchor. Thanks.

The planeshift.cfg seems simple to modify but for the time being I\'d prefer to keep it as it is (I\'m particularly attracted by the statement ... ).

Today psclient.app doesn\'t start the game session :(

It  loads my profile but then nothing else happens ...

Same here : I can\'t even create new characters

I didn\'t see the vertex line, but I think I will wait the pssetup app for further options, I don\'t even know if vertex shaders are implemented in game yet...

If only I could log in !
snif...

>I can\'t even create new characters

The server is down for troubleshooting ... we have to be patient.

>but I think I will wait the pssetup app for further options

I agree with you but I hope they will release it as soon as possible (or that, at least, they publish some fresh infos about the Mac version of the OpenGL engine).

>I don\'t even know if vertex shaders are implemented in game yet...

They should have been implemented since the engine supports them (albeit as an experimental feature) ...

well, I think i \'ll try to activate it (the vertex thing), just to see what it looks like.
We don\'t risk much, since players are saved on the server, and for reinstalling the game...
it only means copying it from the image disk - it\'s not a linux source code !  ;)

maybe some more lags

anyway everything seems to be experimental in that game, but works pretty well !

Chill out, this is a free game. Don\'t make the mac users look bad by making demands on an open source game project. I\'m sure they are working on it.

Greetings All,
Crims, youre a champ for putting all the notes posted so far into one concise step by step fix manual. Well done!!!
Lets all remember folks two important things:  One, This is a brand new game and the software is still being created. Dont expect perfection. The fact is that all of us are testers and over time with our help the game will grow and get better. TWO... Umm, how much did you pay for this game anyway??  Nothing...  WOW  what a concept  so dont expect perfection on day one. You should truely appreciate the efforts of some amazing individuals who GAVE this game to you FREE and remember to keep that in mind. This Game will get better, it will grow, it will continue to be amazing  so just hang in there and I guarantee it will have you comming back for more.
As far as the comment on no toolbar,,, well that is a MAC specific Issue and I assume it will get sorted out in time.  There are many bugs to kill off and code to be written by the wizzards behind this creation. Lets all do our best to show them that the MAC community is truely appreciative and that we are team players who are patient and understanding. Lets NOT have them think that MAC users are a bunch of weeping snots. I for one, love what I see so far and will patiently live through the difficult times in anticipation of more magic to come. Help eachother out, Help the programmers with error information so they can see where to focus their efforts, Help me by giving me your in game money    LOL
   Heck, Just have fun!!!!
Enjoy, Jandar Calisto

1) When I run the updater, it fetches the repository file, but doesn\'t do anything after that. I\'m assuming that it would have had stuff to update by now.

2) According the the guide, I should have an app called \"pssetup\", but I don\'t

Other then that, I\'m fine. :) Good job dfryer! :D

I\'ve got my console and system logs up on my desktop via
GeekTool.  When I try to use the updater, I see the following:

NOTIFY: psUpdaterEngine initialized.
Creating psnetconnection 10bebd0!
Error loading registry file \'/repos/repository.xml\'
Couldn\'t download updateregistry from server!

Also, after this I have a new file repos.zip in my PlaneShift directory.

Hope this helps.

Ahh, that is interesting, it is the most useful diagnostic of the updater problem that I\'ve seen yet.

I\'ve also noticed that the menu thing is missing, I totally didn\'t notice it missing before, but it sure is.  i was working on a few fixes, but it seems that some problem in CrystalSpace causes crashes when an NPC is targeted, making the game unusable

When these problems are resolved, fixes will be posted!

Thank you all so much for your patience and support.

Yes, at this stage of developement and with only one public server, it\'s normal.

The engine itself isn\'t this choppy ... it\'s the huge lag that slow down everything ... isn\'t it?

With my setup (2X1.25 + Radeon 9600) the game is almost unplayable but I keep trying ... this project deserve our support :)
