from my box to yours?

while updating the updater I watched an awful lot of upload from my box to the server this is un settling. I want to know what info you need from my box? I don\'t want to lock down my drives - delete the game. call me paranoid. can you explain?

The games is open source, if the upload frightens you, you could always check the code...

it depends on how they do the update...

i think the upload usage is caused by them checking to see what files you need updated, since i believe there is no set file on the server that says what files to update, it basically adds new files, and updates files that it finds have a newer version on the server

but really, are you hiding something? something you dont want anyone to find out about? come on, tell us!

The updater should not be doing any uploads.  Basically the updater downloads the registery file from the server and compares that to your local files.  It then determines what files it needs to download.  How are you seeing dating uploaded?
