A new Organization

Valbrandr just give up this idea... its even been tried by annah twice with no real sucsess.....your better to just allie with a few other guilds and make a alliance group... like mirth and defenders had the thingy of light alliance Bo and DE have the dark alliance. just do something like that where your ideas could be easyer to manage

DOS BO and DE? and some inactive n00b guild perhaps...

how predictable as always perhaps you should take ones head out of ones rear end and realise that there in a guild with 1 other member and allied to a few other members that combined would make about 1 active guild and stop with your \"im so big look at me\" threats

Those \"inactive n00b guilds\" have members that have and will always have more character than you\'ll ever have.
 And maybe someday you\'ll find out that quantity of members doesn\'t count, especially when they\'re like you. Here\'s my tip, quality, not quantity.
 And as for another tip (it\'s good for your future, which is on its way to crumble), I would recommand you to stop hanging on the past so much, it will tear you apart at some point. So, your \"ancient\" sayings like \"s*rew you Annah, I know what you did\", man, sorry to say, works only for you atm.
 I felt to say those, so I said them.
 Also, no more subtile attacks to Dark Empire. What involves them, involves me, and it would really be a pleasure to take a bath in your blood  :rolleyes:

Anyway, the Planeshift Council isn\'t doing much at the moment, maybe Valbrandr could join it, and whoever else thinks about this being a good idea, and make it work better.
Since it is a Council of guilds I guess the more the merrier.

The Council will have a leader. Each guild from the Council can be one; they only have to win the votes (a vote system will be made).

I say we let Valbrandr and his guild be the first leaders, seeing that it seems no one else is wanting to lead such a move. He\'s got some ideas and the will to preform them, and just because his guild is the leader of the Council it doesn\'t mean that it rules others.
We\'re already in Crystal Blue, I see no reason for the Council to stay in the shadows. This might be a good idea to make it work.

I have a few ramblings to go on here.  First off, besides the ingame aspects of this council, could the planeshift council have a more broad impact?  A council of this magnatude should pull some weight, especially with the devs.  Would it be possible for the council to spearhead ideas for the future direction of planeshift?  Example:  It is brought up that the new mining rules eleminate the advantages of mining, however, without it people got rich too fast.  So the council makes a suggestion about the rules, such as a weigh limit on how much ore you can carry, instead of a direct number, that way you didn\'t have to mine 10 coal, iron, and platinum before selling. You could instead mine 30 platinum.  

At this point, having decided what would be the most fair rule, the council signs an official petition for the developers to make this change.   In this way the PlaneShift Council would have the ability to have an influence on the game as a whole as well as in ingame relations.  This I think would help better the game, and make it more interesting.  A sort of world government, except that this gov influences everything from trade, alliances, laws, and even the physics and such of the universe.

If we were allowed to be the leader (With no real power over anyone, however more influence with ideas) That would be a great honor.  However, the people who are part of such a thing would have to obviously agree on it.  And if that happened, there would have to be an understanding that I want this Council (depending on where it is at) to go through an evolutionary change.  With consent I could work with your ideas already created and try to combine it with some of my own ideas.  And also depending on how many guilds are currently involved I would want to expand.  But before anything else we are trying to gather info abiut the existing council and we would still need to join.

We can go through voting. Though I think it\'s just a waste of time. Everyone\'s too busy to care about leading any Council at the moment. Well, maybe not with the intention of improving it and making it work.

Okay, I like what Annah has started.  Not sure about the tax system and there maybe a better way to help in guild wars instead on giving military support though.  These are just minor issues.  Overall it looks like it could work.  A lot of the ideas in the two threads are either the same or complimentry.  I think that we can make this work, still need an updated guild/members list though.

Edit: I tried to merge the ideas and I sent it to a couple of the current members.  If they approve I will post it soon.

I am glad you will stick to your word.  I just hope you will be ready to help when I need you.

BTW:  I know atleast four groups that are participating already (depending if we are included).  Anyone else interested.

Soon I will create a new thread and delete this one.  It will have the compromise layout of this new organization, better organized and just better.  Hopefully we will get a forum up soon and new members.

You want a council of guilds? A common forum for addressing grievances and issues? But do you think anyone cares?
Most people come around here for a few months and then dissappear. I am sure they don\'t give a rats-ass about it. Some are too high and mighty to think of the common masses and still others are enjoying their own time here and don\'t want things to change. That would just leave a minority of players like you who think about this at all. Practically i should say \"Forget it and go on with your life\" but I like your idealism. You were an alright guy right from the start Val, kinda reminding me of Keldorn. So i\'ll say \" Go ahead kid. Knock yourself out. And good luck trying\" .

Valbrandr you\'ll be welcome to join any guild I am in anytime you want to . Thats my promise to you . I admire your zeal and sense of commitment. Thats more than can be said for most of us around here.
