I just finally stopped laughing.  Wow.
You just made my day.  I didn\'t know how badly one could screw up mocking a game.

LoL... They sound like a fun bunch. :) I especially like the moderator who comes in flashing his \"shields\" right after Monketh returns the favour of this \"Babz\" guy and posts in their forum. Hypocritical geniuses of comedy, they are. :D

Can\'t help but wonder whether those people actually read the tread...  It was staded in alot of places that many of us played the game for an extended period of time, and got fed up with it.  The \"f2p game\" is more or less a chat server, but telling a friend to bring his Multi-tap to my house to play unreal was cencored for the letters around the hyphon...  Also, many of us where over 40 or so...  I would like to mention that there is a completely uninforced policy that players can only have 1 account.  I saw a person tell Jagex all of his accounts, and they didn\'t say a thing.  I know people with a dozen accounts, of course one of them was hacked a dozen times and kept recovering his account.  When it happened to me, the recovery thing stated that if I was a member I would receive priority support.  That means they can\'t even have an unbiased method of cust. support.  I can\'t help but find the whole thing funny.
For those who would like to see their forums use the account Planeshift1
password: planeshift.
I just made the account, and f2ps can\'t post so the best you can do is look at the stuff...

I love the part that says that RS F2P only has 2 cities, while P2P has over 30. By their logic, then P2P only has 3 cities, 2 of which are already avaliable in the F2P game.

If you count up the number of F2P cities on the world map, you will find that they actually have a total of 9. 9 out of 30 is much better than 2 out of 30. I suggest you actually play the game before criticizing it. Yes, F2P does have less things to do than P2P, but you have to think of F2P as a demo. It is not a full game, it is merely a TRIAL VERSION. If you want the full version just fork over the $5 a month; it really isn\'t a big fortune.

Oh, and yes, the majority of people here do have atrocious grammar. I guess I have to let you have that one.

Also, it\'s interesting to note that Jagex insists that f2p is not a trial version as posted by \"stryker\" (prolly just another wannabe...)  He actually gave Jagex less credit than me...  Another thing is that, unless you have a credit card, it costs 7.50/month not 5.  Yeah, it\'s a small margin, but it\'s still makes him even more inaccurate.

i played to combat lvl 70 and had members :( so they cant say i didnt know the game, i played it as my first MMORPG, but now i see how bad it is in comparision to many other MMORPGs

I was actaully well known among some and the \"clan\" i was in, until i \"mysteriously vanished\", hahaha... i must admit when i first started it was fun exploring, bah hit lvl 40 and you knew everything, then i got members, explored there did many things, focused on my main skill of mining... brought fishing to tie with mining later...

just do search for Longu on the hiscores... of course its been ahile and ive slipped low on many skills i was ranked in the 100\'s in at one time... sigh... i remember i was trying to get my attack to 65 last ...

i must say, those people on those boards obviously havent really looked at our boards or spent any real time in game... bashing on the combat, idiots dont they realize this game is still in development?
I am just a figment of you imagination and a byproduct of the worse accident ever... ... or so my mommy says!

no.  In my experiance on RS, there are 2 types of players.  Those who are intelligent, and those who aren\'t.  The intelligent ones wouldn\'t have attacked something they don\'t know nething about.  Lack of knowledge on our part is the reason I created this thread and just one of the unintelligent RSers came and turned it into this, granted this is fun too...

Meh, most are the kind that dont speak english, their primary language is leet.

Or theres myself, who played it waayyy back when it was only three game servers, I speak english but it turns into *** * ********* ************, and I didn\'t even swear..

Aside from that, a lot of people don\'t bother to read the \"In development\" and fail to appreciate the beauty of open source. And yes, if I had to pay for a game, it would be one of the better ones, like ragnarok or horizons or something. Pfft.. I would even make my own if I could, but I know no willing programmers... *rants*

I am not putting anymore comments on here.. meh.

they waayyy back when was when RS was the best game I\'d ever played, and it was a truly good game, with a kind community, helpful higher levels, and no members thought they were better.  Not all members think they\'re better than ne1 else though.  I did some asking around at school today, and found out that the Rune Village people are some of the dumbest RSers out there.  I have friends who are f2ps and p2ps, and they all agree.

I played til combat level 74, bags, i even fork over the cash for members (still play on occasion, but only to do favours for my friends on f2p).

The main reasons i left were the attitudes of the people like those on rune village, and the immense boredom that came from the quests being tedious and the updates being too far apart, meaning no new things to do for extended periods. (i refused to even try and rp on RS.. too many imbeciles around)

Forfeit the game, stop the talk show

I\'ve noticed that too.  Standing on the island fishing, it is somewhat disheartening to see people \"selling fire\"...  I hope that this never happens to something as wonderful as Planeshift...

Unless the GMs are very strickt and are enough to be just about every where get ready.
However if we ALL stand ready and stand our ground we just might be able to weed out some of the worst of the bunch.

Let them come those of us who are willing to make a stand to keep Planeshift not just a good game but a great world will be here waiting for them!

And just incase any of those runevillage peeps return

I have played many mmorpgs as part of a study. The greatest difference of game communities, I have experienced so far, is between Runescape and Ryzom.

In Runescape people, according to my experience, care little of other players - except if they see a good trade comming. When I was playing, scamming was a great problem in Runescape and all the players would focus on was leveling and gold.

When I entered the world of Ryzom, I was met with a whole different attitude - it seemed that the players couldn\'t help eachother too often.

Can you validate this, and what are your thoughts on what makes a good game community?
