Very Sluggish Responses

i just got the game and when i took it for a test run, it was really sluggish when i as creating a character.  once i got through making a char and started to upload it, i think i got it uploaded then i went to login and when it got to initializing world files the client just froze...is there any settings i should change or is the server just down while it gets optimized?
i was running it on:
Win98
64mb ram
700mhz processor
*not sure the video card, but i had no problem running a few other mmorpgs in full 3d mode*
and 56k con

hey, the game is still in development, so things will be slow for a while . The game probably didn\'t freeze when loading the world, it just takes a while to load. I have a cable connection and it takes me AT LEAST 30 secs. to load the world. that 56k modem may be a problem for you. but don\'t worry for know, you arenb\'t missing anything. nobody is ever on and you can\'t do anything but walk around 1 small town and chat. that will all change in time, though.
