That\'s what I get in terminal, the PS Client does come up, and it shows the intro picture, and the blue bar loads all the way, then freezes.

I\'ve got my Nvidia drivers installed, I\'m running Ubuntu, what the problem is?

Thanks in advance,
Simon

Except your sound device everything seems to be normal. You can try to disable sound in pssetup. Maybe it freezes because of the sound device error.

Back to Planeshift again \\o/

I tried turning it off and going into software mode but I still get the same problem (in terminal), and when I run pssetup again, the settings haven\'t changed (still on AL), even if I previously pressed Ok/Launch...

Could the:

Have anything to do with the freezing?

Edit: After running pssetup and trying to save, I get:

planeshift.setup.application:

Hey Im having a similar problem, crashes at the same point, only I dont get errors about sound device. When running pssetup, it reports an error when saving the configuration file, I\'ve tried running it as root so write access privilidges are ensured. /fonts/ttf/Vera.ttf is reported missing along with the error about not being able to save the configuration.

It seems that the changes I make using pssetup are saved even though it reports there was an error saving.

Do you have any idea how you managed to fix your problem Simon, it would be most helpful?
