Concidering the game is still in early beta, I am not surprised at the age limit.  I did manage to get my daughter allowed on Ryzom\'s open beta, but I had to agree to be logged in on a character that was in the game world in the same place as her and I was told that if she did anything bannable, we would BOTH be banned.

I filed the bug reports on bugs she found and filed one comment she had and three suggestions she had.

It is sad that the more mature teens get a raw deal because of their more childish piers, but that is how things work.

It is not an insult, the human brain does not finish maturing until late teens early 20s, and teens do things they know better than to do and deeply regret later.

Er... there\'s no age limit to playing the game, Lyrah.

How the heck is it due to legal reasons? It is non-profit so? I don\'t understand how that has anything to do with someone being 18 or not to help the project? Not exactly child labour

Your parents sign any paper work for you if you\'re under 18. So there aren\'t really any legal issues.

That\'s because you didn\'t have to sign a NDA. Different agreements have different requirments.

Just because I would like to create a cooler atmosphere I would like to come back to the thread title :
over 18? why!

And yeah Im wondering over 18? why! why growing up over 18 ?

Some people must be wondering the same queston : are people wanting to be independant? The life before I were 18 was nicer : I played with my friends and didnt noticed the world was so scaring! I didnt have to work everytime and swear ywhen I had to go to school... good old time!

So why would I grow up over 18?

And now you are able to understand why you are wanting to grow up kids : you wanna be a part of the ps team ! :-D

----------------------------------------------------------------
So really I dont think there is still anything to say about this age limit : really I think it\'s a good thing... not because Im over 18 but simply because I know how I were before thinking I were able to create great website... and even if I were able to create these great website (chat, forum, and so one) I think I werent able to work on a big project like ps or even big website...

there is a difference between knowing how it could be possible to do anything and doing this thing. Just think that if you are too proud to recognize you arent skilled enough to follow the developpers you\'ll takes the times of the real developpers. I mean you work on a part of the project and you do a lot of mistakes then the developpers will have to look for your mistakes and there will be a lot of lost time!

The problem is that you wont work alone but with others developpers... a cooperative work!

So increase your skill and once youll be 18 ask the dev if you will be able to help. I think it\'s the best way!
