Planeshift is still in alpha stage, Tasive. It\'s far from a complete MMORPG, as you put it. Armor (and other character accessories) are on the list of things to add, but it\'s not the number one priority of the devs at the moment.
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

There is armor. But it does not show if your character is wearing it or not.

Yes, there is armor.  Does it protect you?  Sure, if you wanna RP that it does.  But technically, armor gives no protection as of yet.  It\'s on the To-Do list, so do what the rest of us are doing; WAIT. ;) :)

3.009 had armor levels
« Reply #6 on: June 04, 2005, 08:54:40 pm »
In 3.009 I was able to raise light armor levels.   In 3.010 I can not do it.
In 3.009 I was able to click on the beast and then click full defense and eventually after saying my armor training was working I would raise armor level.  Oh I had to train in light armor from Harmquist  to level 10.  In 3.010  I trained with Harmquist and then went to fight rats and gobbies, etc. and nothing happened.   My weapon skill went up but my armor just stays at 0.

Maybe it was bugged and required fixing?

Ligth armor training and raising works flawlessly for me. Your problem is that the attack stances don\'t work ATM, thus you always go to normal attack. Therefore, you cannot train by going fully defensive, which is why light armor training is _far_ less quick. You can go fully defensive by stopping the attack.

from what i was told Armour is on its way to being seen, its just a matter of good ol\' Magodra putting in the right piece of code puzzle to make it show up :)

but obviously there are more important things to do in the code, like remove the bugs and stop you little peeps from dissappearing into voids :)

Hehehe. I am a regular sized char in game and I have found ways to fall off maps or squeez through bars and fall in vaults I don\'t think were supposed to be entered. :D

What I find most odd is that even Klyros, who otherwise suffer badly from the insanely large collision rectangle so that they won\'t even fit between walls the model would optically fit past twice, manage to squeeze through these bars. :) Good thing they added these pipes so that one can finally get back out.
Oh, you might want to know that these vaults are full to the brim with icky sewage before going to dive in! :)

There is no spoo....... er sewage. Once you go in there you drop to the bottom and it\'s just like it isn\'t there. :D

I can train light armour just fine.... just stand there and get hit without fighting back.
