stalls when loading

when i try to load it stalls at initializing world

then i have to try for about 3 mintues to \"end task\"

p.s. im on windows xp home edition

i have the exact same problems as Bashka and i have 512 ram

so it doesnt have anything to do with ram

The first time you connect to the server it can take up to two hours, since the game has to configurate stuff.. its important that you dont alt+tab, even if it seems like the game doesnt respond.

run me first not working

I downloaded all the files, then the reassembler, and then i go to the files and double click on the run.me.first file, but this DOS looking screen blinks for a second and goes away, and nothing happens.  How do i install the game?

Make sure all your files are in the same directory and check if they are the right size.
Use the tool you can download on the download page to check if the files you downloaded are the same.

Also, make sure you do not use a download accelerator to download the files. It can cause your files to go corrupt or be the wrong size.

It took me at least 4 minutes to initialize world, i have a 1.3 with 300something RAM and 64mb NVidia. The game seems to run fine if it werent for server lag. One thing I have noticed, and not... The game is supposed to support D3D. Where do I go to select this? I was think the cfg file but im not at home right now to check it. And lastly the person earlier in the post that YELLED!!... if the option isnt present than just type it in.

Ok, I try to connect to game... NO! I get A error after maybe 2-4 Mins saying the server has gone linkdead, how can i fix this or what can i do to bypass it or something? I just downloaded the game, AND I WANNA PLAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where did you learn to type in such a ridiculous way...? Capital letters begin at the start of a sentence and as the first letter of names/places only, unless emphasis is needed on a paticular word or phrase. Plus I have an almost phobeatic aversion to reading such text...

Ahem... anyway... no. Sorry, but I just can\'t stand reading that, otherwise I\'d try to help. Right now though, I don\'t want to induce a splitting headache. :P


[Edit: That sounds so pathetic, if only it wasn\'t true. :(]

Still not perfect, but at least it\'s readable now.

For linkdead information, please check this thread. Hopefully what\'s there can help you, if not, please post back with more info.

I wouldn\'t be so impatient to get it to work, though, there\'s no rush. Not really much you can do ingame yet.
