I\'m not thrilled with the idea of barriers, and I don\'t doubt others may feel the same. Let me explain:

Since I would like to bring a number of people of like minds together, I certainly wouldn\'t want to be a development member... Yet, at some level I would like to contribute. First maybe create my own custom model, and then maybe see what I can add to the game (a certain friend would love a long bow if I recall), but oh my look at this:

Now wait, you\'re telling me what I\'m allowed to contribute, AND saying I have to not play the way I would like as all other non-dev players currently enjoy? You get to say for what ever reason (not invented here), if my contribution will be \"legit\" or not. Otherwise I\'m \"cheating\"? This is all very anti-open source. Tell me it\'s not so?

1.) I would like to make my own unique model (because I can), for the game. Maybe help a few friends with it too.

2.) I\'m thinking about helping with the fundumental design (server, database, ...) of the game.

3.) Maybe help with world design. (IMHO you need it) I like your Basilica, maybe turn it into \"Hagia Sophia\"?

I don\'t know how much of this list I can get done, since I have school to think about, but that\'s my wish list. If you would like the help, plz tell me how to not be a \"cheater\"?

All it says that you cannot be a leader of a guild if you are a member of developing team. While this doesn\'t mean you can\'t play at all if you are a developer. I don\'t think this applies to contributors. And anyways, that info may be out of date.

Well, I\'m not so sure you can make it so unique. Editing one model, say the male Enkidukai, on your machine edits the appearance of everyone else playing one in-game, too. Same with skins, and textures, wherever such textures are used. So I\'m afraid this isn\'t quite as possible as you\'d like.

I burst out laughing here - I just haven\'t heard of anyone that is familiar with the monument in a very long time. Awesome! :) Unfortunately, the temple of Laanx is no Hagia Sophia, and will never be a Hagia Sophia. The design of the two structures varies too greatly for a complete redo. However, I don\'t see why you can\'t contribute and perhaps apply for a WTB Member position, without trying to be a -full- member of the dev team. I understand that quite some time and work has to pass before you are even considered for the full position, and there is probably no absolute need for you to accept if you don\'t want to, and prefer to stay in a guild. However, I can definitely understand how being a full dev member will be unfair if one remains in a guild - you know nearly 100% of the plans, goals, works in progress, tricks, tips, etc. There is no way to guarantee that this information will not be leaked, contracts or no contracts, if you choose \"sides\" in-game.

So your best bet would then be to try to attain WTB Member position, or just submit contributions, which don\'t need any position at all, and do what you can with this.

This is how I like to do things anyway. I work better alone, or with my friends who have figured out how to work along with me.

I would like an authoritive answer to my query. I made my intentions clear, and open. I want to know if I\'ll be called a cheat for trying to realize them?

Platyna contributes, fixes stuff on the macosx thingy.. or was it linux? eh.. its the bottom section of threeads to you normal peeps, she also hosts one of the mirrors for the files to download and stuff.

Platyna will be using an alt as her GM after the wipe, and her IC character \'platyna\' will just be normal, so nothing unfair ferom what i can see
