I just downloaded the game, and I\'m having the same problem... except the screen is completely white. You can\'t see the mouse button or anything... Is it the same thing?

Actually I\'m not 100% sure this is a CS problem. I also have exactly the same problem on my computer (using a GF4Go) but Crystal Space works perfectly fine. I\'m currently investigating what exactly is going on so hopefully I\'ll find the cause of the problem soon.

Ok I have managed to fix it locally. Add the following two lines to data/config/r3dopengl.cfg:

Quote

Video.OpenGL.UseExtension.GL_ARB_texture_rectangle = false
Video.OpenGL.UseExtension.GL_NV_texture_rectangle = false

For me this makes everything perfect. Let me know how it goes for you.

Jorrit-

After entering those lines, mine worked normally.  Thanks.

Greetings,

Hmm... interesting.  I am glad you were able to find a fix though!  I was probebly too quick to assume it was CS but I assumed the problem lied within CS because it is a rendering issue.

Also will this fix become default in the next update of Planeshift?

Checking for it would be a better idea, if it\'s possible. Not everyone has a crap nVidia board.

That\'s true, but I wouldn\'t see any real disadvantage to non-nvidea users of having these settings as default.  Maybe pssetup could include a \"nvidea gfx\" checkbox and you could check/uncheck as needed.

Also is this a bug with nvidea or not?  A developer that knows more about rendering and stuff might want to tell nvidea what graphics function they used that caused this effect and let them know and maybe they can release an updated driver.

The way we will solve this in Crystal Space is by adding an entry to our driver/card database (data/config/gldrivers.xml) so that we can only disable those extensions on crappy GF4Go/440 cards :-)

I have been experiencing this fault on my PS installation on a Linux PC with this type of NVidia card and 1.0-7667 driver. I was directed to this thread from the PS Linux Forum, but your extra two lines for the config file did not fix it for me.

Just thought I\'d mention it!
