miner help

can someone help with with mining. any info whould be cool.

I\'ll help this fellow off by asking some questions I think he would want asked.

First off, I have bought myself a pick, now wheres a good spot to start my mining career?

Then, when I get there, how would I actually go about the mining process?  Is there a command I need to push? Do I have to have the pick in my hands? stuff like that.

My answer: go read your players guide like I did.

Try gold first, that\'s the easiest to find. When the pickaxe is equiped and standing for a good spot, type /dig gold, and you\'re mining! Remember you\'ll need some training too, and mining is slow when you\'re low level.

The same goes for iron, coal and platinum; Type /dig iron or /dig coal (or /dig platinum) to mine it.

When you ware succesfull, use A or D to slide to another good spot, becouse you can\'t mine a spot twice in a row. When you\'re standing a small end from the previous spot, try diging again.

im really not to sure that you should be giving this much away. part of the idea is that people find out for them selves otherwise they are gonna get bored. sure you can give them a few tips like how to use the command and a general area to look in. but locations of all ores i dont think so.

Darn, I was even making a map of part of the dungeon so that I would know where to go to find the ores again.

By the way, is there any exits to that dungeon?

GMs alway are so...mysterious... I think you\'re right when you say newbs should explore themselves, but some basics can be told I think. And the Laanx Dungeon is so big, a newby would never be able to find the places all by himself. Other things like the secret entrance to the dungeon shouldn\'t be told that easely.

only help i got with platinum mining was being told that i needed to go in the dungeon under the temple but not to jump down the well :/

Oh, by the way, how come there seems to be a small hole that I can\'t enter (but saw people coming out of it) at the place that I mine for platinum?
