Can't get past the registration stage

Hi all,

  I seem to be having trouble uploading my character.  Everytime, I click it the program self-terminates.  Didn\'t see that coming in the FAQ, anyone can help?

try going to pssetup and reconfiguring the window?
if that doesnt work i dunno

If you are currently using Windows XP, you will need to switch the compatibility mode for Windows 98/ME.

right-click the Planeshift executable(psclient.exe) now go to the compatibility tab, check the \"Run this program in compatibility mode\" option, choose windows 98 and press ok, i don\'t know if this will work(i use win xp without the compatibility thing and it works fine with me) but it seems to work for some people..
