i need help

i launch planeshift. Osmetimes it enters the game and sometimes it does not.. it usually says that the program has done something unexpected and needs to close... sometimes i enter the game but when i wanna swich the world same thing happens.. what do i do???

Greetings,

First make sure that you have run the updater utility, located in your main PlaneShift directory. It may take a long while to get all the files, but many of them are vidal updates. If the problem persists, try turning off sound using the PlaneShift Setup application, also located in that same directory. This is the most common \"solution\" to the problem. Otherwise, please post the numbers that come up with the error, as they usually have an associated known fix, or a clue in the right direction.

This is most likely the issue that I also have often. The error address always ends in 161 IIRC. I have uploaded a dump of it so it should be fixable. This error seems to come up most likely after the client exited due to a crash, thus when I get this one once, I\'ll likely get it at least one more time, though the cycle eventually breaks.

Edit: I always run a fully updated client with sound disabled.
