I will tell my brother all of your compliments, for I will not take credit for the quality that is retexturing added. I did the modeling (and he just taught me easier ways to do it last night), he did the texturing, which he will also be expanding on teaching me next time he comes over. He says I am still way better at modeling than almost everyone in his modeling class, and that he will take in my stuff to show them and embarrass them, and maybe also motivate them to put in more effort..... He said this himself, so I am not trying to boast.

Tell him to turn on anti-aliasing for your raytraced material.  The reflections are too jagged.  It\'s going to increase your render time, but it\'ll look better.

And if it was my shader, I\'d tweak with the specularity and not make it a perfect mirror.

Ok, thanx everyone, I truly appreciate the feedback, though I expected something a bit less in the compliments.... I don\'t consider myself to be very good at it myself, and as my brother says, the texturing makes the model, not neccessarily the mesh.

Edit: Heh, put \'eexpected\' instead of \'expected\'.

Reverse the way the spikes stick out. Your sword would get stuck and cause less damage(on impact... would hurt like hell coming out) / could break the tips if they are pointed inward inward instead of outward.

Hehe.. well I think those swords are kinda meant to stay in your target.. or you can twist them and yank it out and totally destroy your opponent HAHA

If they were the other way around it\'d be hard to do into the target.. I\'ve never seen a sword like that

Neryam is right about that part... And if the thin points broke off, it would do the same amount of damage anyway... It just wouldn\'t look as pointy or anything... I am not going to mess with it for a while though, but I might be scanning some of my sketches and boredom art from school, so expect some monsters.

I like those shaders.  Any chance of uploading them somewhere?

Also, about the render, if you look at the spikes and the point where the spike meets the main blade you\'ll see it gets lighter there.  That\'s because you meshsmoothed a single edge.  Go to your low poly cage and select the edge of the blade all the way around (you could actually just select one edge and hit \"loop\" I think it is).  Then go to chamfer and give it a tiny tiny tiny chamer (like .01).  Now throw your meshsmooth back on, and ideally that sharp edge will stay sharp all the way around rather than getting dulled and rounded by the meshsmooth.  It actually technically still is rounding it, but it\'s rounding the boundary between the two edges that are .01 apart.  Little chamfers like that are how you keep sharp edges or control the roundness of edges when using meshsmooth to go high-poly.

Also, there should be an apostraphe on David\'s. :P

:P No idea how my brother got them, sorry... I will ask him for you if you\'d like. I know, I\'m the grammar and spelling freak in my family, not him, and I bugged him about it as soon as I saw it... even before I looked at the weapons I was bugging him about the apostrophe. I\'d really like a bit of feedback on my Quezicanine monster head though. I am going to start modeling my personal sword soon, and might have to use mesh smooth to perfect it since I am using it to maybe see if a person and draw my char sketch with that as my swords. If anyone draws it :P At the moment I really don\'t care, people are busy and I don\'t feel like adding to their work.

Edit: BTW Don\'t mind my messed up spelling and grammar, I don\'t use it often on forums unles I make huge posts or it is an RP forum.

Ok, my first time drawing any type of creature in any perspective besides a side view. And I am still working out how to do the face.

Tell meh what you think for first try (well, first try that wasn\'t crumpled into a tiny ball for basketball practice. Not to mention I don\'t even like basketball...)

*edit* I am awaiting the opinion of a friend til I post my attempt at a piece of armor.

*edit2* He rated it as \'pretty good\' so it is good enough for me... first helmet that i thought good enough to be shown to the public

Double/triple-posting is a no-no :P Why are you using two forum accounts?
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.
