 :'(

Evening,

I do not know if you have a version for mac ready with this release. I am patient.

Command line or double click (either) does not work to open the client or the updater.

700MHz PowerPC G4 (emac = an hour to replace 1 hard-part!)
650 MB Ram
OSX 10.2.8 (soon 10.3.#)

New PC/red hat platform on the way.

Feel free to email me.

Processor: 2.3 GHz PoerPC G5
RAM: 512 Megs DDR SDRAM
Video Card: ATI

Planeshift runs:y

Platform-specific bugs encountered: have been playing for 2 days. Now I've had 7 crashes in a row following start-up. It crashes when the region starts to load. I finished off in the arena, now it will not load and just crashes the game. Here is what I get on the load:

Loading Game
Requesting Connection
Loading World
.....and then it crashes, now 12 times in a row.
I have restarted as well as repaired permissions. No change. Tried to create and upload a new character and it still crashed.

UPDATE:
I trashed the Data folder and replaced it. Everything seems to work fine now. Not sure what file in the Data directory was the problem.

- running PlaneShift Mac OS X Tiger (10.4.11) Client, on an Apple iMac G5 2GHz PowerPC processor, 2GB DDR SDRAM, an ATI Radeon 9600 graphics card with 128MB VRAM, a 20-inch active-matrix LCD widescreen display, and a 250GB Serial ATA hard drive... so what's your excuse, huh?

Computer type (i.e. Powerbook, G4 Tower, etc): iBook G4
Mac OS Version (x.x.x): 10.4.8
Processor (speed, type): 1.3GHz, PPC/G4
RAM: 512MB
Video Card (type, VRAM): ATI Mobility Radeon 9550, 32MB (wich I'm pretty sure is shared with the RAM........)

Planeshift runs (y/n): Y, .016
Average FPS: Dunno.. Hydlaa lags like crazy, and the Bronze Gate is not an option, I'd guess on around 1 FPS...
Platform-specific bugs encountered: Sometimes textures are missing (ie black walls/floors/etc, but not always, can't seem to find a pattern as of when this occurs exactly), don't know if it's platform-specific or crappy-GFX-card-specific :P I also have problems with falling through floors etc, but as I understand it that's not a platform-specific issue :whistling:

Computer type: G4 Tower
Mac OS Version (x.x.x): 10.3.9
Processor (speed, type): 800MHz, PPC/G4
RAM: 256 MB SDRAM
Video Card (type, VRAM): ATY,RV200, 32MB
Planeshift runs (y/n): No
Platform-specific bugs encountered: Played for three months on the last build. Loved the game! Spent the last two months trying every port/update/crazy idea to make this build work but, I cannot do it from my end. Others running 10.3.9 seem to be having the same problem ("bouncy, bounce but, won't open" thread). Would have sent cha0s a PM but, am not allowed. Please let us know if a fix is forthcoming(BETA, I know), or if we are wasting our time. Thanks to dfryer, cha0s, and anyone else spending time developing, compiling, testing, listening to whining, eating, sleeping, and troubleshooting a great open-source MMORPG for OSX!
My command line machine language gibberish reponse for attempting to run the newest Crystal Space 3.017 client reads as follows:
dyld: ./psclient.app/Contents/MacOS/psclient Undefined symbols:
./psclient.app/Contents/MacOS/psclient undefined reference to _pthread_atfork expected to be defined in /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib
