crystalspace.kernel.vfs ?
« on: September 12, 2005, 04:54:07 am »
hello,

last night I was downloading PS and updating. This morning I wanted to start and I just got following message :

SCF_WARNING: factory returned a null instance for crystalspace.kernel.vfs
        if error messages are not self explanatory, recompile CS with CS_DEBUG
WARNING: could not load plugin \'crystalspace.kernel.vfs\'
Couldn\'t load VFS plugin \"crystalspace.kernel.vfs\"!
ERROR: csInitializer::SetupConfigManager failed!
Is your CRYSTAL environment variable set?
Exiting Planeshift.  Press Enter...

can anybody help me with this or do I have to reinstall ??

(and when I reinstall, can I prevent to update the whole night again ?)

Apparently you got a wrong file at some point, you nbeed to get this:

http://www.planeshift.it/download/temp/vfs.dll

Replace the one you have in your PlaneShift folder with it, and run the updater again.
