While usually the updater is a good thing, it ATM isn\'t, due to the severe performance issues that plague the server. So that is nopt an option right now.
Also, this dll problem has appeared for a few people over the time, but not a lot. Unfortunately, there is no fix for it that I know of. They tried replacing that file with one from dllheaven or what it\'s called, but I doubt that the file is
actually damaged. In fact, I suspect another problem that simply makes PS not
find that file. A corrupt install
might be the reason. However, for that to ocur, the installer itself would likely have to be corrupted. To see if it is, you need to run the
md5 summing tool on the installer file. Then you need to check that the sum that generated is exactly the same as fc36e88c174f44f7540f130782afcfbb.
If the md5 sums match, and a reinstall does not fix it, then the problem is something different, which I have no real ideas for. Reinstalling Windows might help, but then again that\'s not a terribly good option.
