Welcome to Planeshift :)

To answer your question: There is only one type of armour, so I guess it\'s both best and worst :P

Also, I don\'t think it actually works...
Either way, remember that Planeshift is in its early development stage ;)

Hi ;)

There is no \"best\" or \"worst\" armor, simply because we only have one type. And it doesn\'t do much. And it doesn\'t appear on your character model. Remember, PlaneShift is a pre-alpha tech demo still in the very early stages of development and testing - many features, options, and graphics aren\'t implemented yet.

PlaneShift also focuses primarily on roleplay- acting like your character instead of the player behind a computer desk - so if you plan on walking a more \"hack\'n\'slash\" path, you may find this game lacking in both functionality and a friendly welcome sign.

Beyond this, do give the Player Guide a read (it is included in your download, as well as found on the main website) and check all the forum stickies for some in-game rules of conduct and FAQs. Feel free to use the Help tab of your chat window once you are logged in to ask any questions, as well.

After its done being developed, Will it still be free to users? or will they have a system (sort of like runescape) where theres a p2p and f2p places? and you can choose a class right? or does your class mainly depend on the race you choose (because of stats they give each race), Which race is good for a mage? lol i know i shouldnt be asking because theirs a place where i can see this and then i get flamed......argg...

PlaneShift will always be a free project. There aren\'t any classes here, however. As I said, this is primarily a roleplaying game - you can be whatever you want based on the skills you choose to practice with, not a predetermined \"class\" setting. Good races for mages, however, are: Lemurs, Nolthrir, Xacha, Dermorians, and Diaboli.

Hello,

I\'m new too, and I was also a Runescape player.  I began looking for other games and queried \"free mmorpg\" in google, and it came up with this Planeshift.  What I see kind of blows me away, and I can\'t believe that it\'s free.  I\'ll be glad to play the game and see it through its development stage.

People here seem friendly, too.  Even the new people speak intelligently... I can\'t say how glad I am to see that. :)

I\'m not all that new anymore, but I thought I\'d mention that I too came here after getting my fill of Runescape (it took me about two weeks) and Googling \"free mmorpg\".

This is one of the few places on the Internet where I don\'t feel I need to dumb myself down to relate to the other members, which is a most welcome feeling.  That by itself is enough to keep me around; add to it the opportunity to be intimately involved in what should ultimately turn out to be one of the all-time great games, and it\'s no wonder I spend way too much time here.

Err, I just used the word \"Google\" as a verb.  I\'m not sure if I\'m OK with that.

Free MMORPG i found something about bath tubs then i saw Plane Shift a fantas... and i was like ok and i go on and the only thing i wonder is... why is it called plane shift... hmmmmm.... i first thought of septeracore and then i hear of different levels or something... anywho yes i felt welcome because it wasnt just a nerdy hang out with idiots who spend their lives behind the computer and dont even have jobs or go to school... and i was amazed at the difference in it vs other mmorpgs because no predetermained class... the motehr and father and siblings and b-day for char and all that... the game play reminded me or Morrowind in many ways... i mean i was so surprised... i have been playing for not even a month... and i love it so much!!! I mean i cant even describe how much i love this game... i cant describe how different and awesome it is and i can say im not trying to suck up...
