Character Database. Can we access it?

I was wondering if it would be possible to gain access to a read only account in the database, see what I want to do is to get a automatically updating list of every member in our guild on our website..

That would be fantastically cool.

I do know PHP and a bit of MySQL, but what is that database\'s operating system/software type thingy? Would it even be possible to do this?

If it is possible all I would need is (If its MySQL) the format of the table. (And if its not MySQL) the code to get a PHP array of the characters in our guild.. :/

i dont think you will get to look at the data base... then you get to learn private things, like people alts or emails.. things they might not want you to know.

I think that it is possible to some degree, as I came across a guild\'s website that had a live listing of players online (all guilds).

I cannot recall the guild\'s name, but I know it was live, as I was on the list when I checked it.

Ruby Warriors is one site and it looks like they have polled the Char_Stats page and cross referenced a guild membership db.

@Neryam I am surprised that a Guild your size doesn\'t already have a db if not it must be hard to keep track of your members

No. There are... well, pretty much no one who even has access to read any of the DB directly. Even GMs can only do what ingame commands allow, etc.

However, if you want a list, in theory that could be setup on the laanx website. However, directly accessing the game DB? Really, that\'s not practical.

Yay stfrn! Yes, if possible a list would be just perfect, although will it just be static or can the info be accessed from elsewhere and displayed alsewhere? Static is fine, just wondering.

In all cases i do not want anything personal on there... maybe my CHARACTERS stats or HIS life story but not mine...

All I want is a dynamic list of all the characters in Guild Knights, so lol don\'t worry. X(
