Right, these are the suggestions that myself and others have made which I agree with:
Make fire/dark/frosty very rare. Further, make such weapons sell for a considerable amount at Harniquist. That way, people won\'t just give them away unless as a meaningful gift.
Make basic weapons and poor-condition weapons sell for far less to harniquist, perhaps 1/4 or 1/5 of their price new. For example, a shortsword can be bought from Harniquist for 200 trias, but Harniquist might only give 40 trias to a player for one. This will further encourage a player based economy, especially crafting once it\'s in the game.
Allow for chance operations leading to weapons with slash 100-300. There are a few 300 slash weapons in existence already, but they are highly rare. Once fire/dark/frosty weapons are more rare, 100-300 slash weapons will just naturally become even rarer.
Give weapons a bonus hit to unarmoured people. If you aren\'t wearing leather or plate armour, and if you don\'t have the advantage of a tough hide, then perhaps a 1 hit kill from a basic longsword is realistic.
Make weapons skill less of a factor on damage. Instead, make weapons skill more important to accuracy and parying. That is, make characters hit less often but for more damage.
Power weapons will be rarer after the wipe. I think that changes to the fighting system might be coming too... the real change will be crafting. Until crafting is in the game, I\'m ready to sit back and wait before expecting any major changes. That\'s not to say I won\'t be vocal about changes in the game, since I tend to be vocal about pretty much everything else anyway.
