Say it all you want, that doesn\'t make it true...Sangwa, she even mentioned DE in the chat, one of your most recent members is most likely a spy (Unless they quit already, recently a member from FL quit, and I have reason to believe she was a spy...)

They wouldn\'t have to join to know about the guild.. they could learn from other members..

Oh... Another thing is the fact that there is nothing for them to actually spy on my guild for... Nothing to hide...

Spying is an interesting thing.  You might infiltrate an organization for the purpose of getting information, true.  But there\'s also such a thing as seeding.  Eventually, that guild which was nothing before might grow into something of influence, concern, or interest.  Eventually, it might have secrets when before it did not.  There\'s also the issue of policy making, reputation, and group action.

No one influences my guild but me... I make decisions and if my members don\'t like it they can leave. Sometimes I ask them what they want, but I will most likely only do what I want to do and ask when I already have my course of action planned out.

spies are also used to drain resources.

another note: if someone did have spies in another guild, they must have reason. i don\'t see how announcing it could aid their cause in any way. the first rule of being a spy is to never ever tell anyone. i think they may just be getting attention, but hey, i don\'t know, its definitely a threat and should be dealt with as such.

I still think we should mass all of the guilds together and destroy them...

OK, so the spy convinces your members that you\'ve made a bad decision, encouraging them to leave.

A massive guild alliance to destroy a secretive-guild when there is no official list that shows ANY of the members names? An interesting, yet stupid, proposal. It shows how naive some of our guildleaders are. The only way to fight them is to have a war of espionage; clearly that would be the obvious choice, no? If you had spies on THEIR end, then you could find out who the spies on YOUR end are. Simple? Not quite, especially after this post is seen. I\'m sure it would be extremely difficult to join that particular guild. You cannot destroy a guild like this simply by brute-force. You have to outwit them.

It\'s interesting to see people have such a strong reaction once they feel they\'re being spied on.  Do you really think this kind of thing is new?

Very bad to find spy, they do no good, were ever they be found.

But you say fight, i say how, as we no not who they be as hidden to eyes.

Me thinks a good leader to them be Zanibar, as he twist and terns thing around so well.

Still worried about the spies?  The guilds that fall down to such petty methods deserve to fall for their weakness.

And don\'t be ridiculous Farren. There can\'t be such a thing as a mass alliance, specially not against something as little. Besides, the Dark Empire allies only with those that agree to see Her Magesty as the supreme ruler.

Disclaimer: This is my opinion and I can be reasoned with. I'm probably right, though.

Pah! Us Guild Knights don\'t really care about spies, and we have nothing to hide.. What sort of damage can a few spies do to the power and might of the Guild Knights?! :))

Or any other good guild for that matter.. I mean, sure it makes you uneasy and angry, but lets face it, WHO CARES?! :D What sensitive info can spies reveal to their guild that could hurt.. Guilds aren\'t complex enough (Well.. not enough tools thats one) to have secrets yet, and theres nothing inside that can really damage things when it gets out yet..

Actually we are aware of spies in our guild, and we do know who a few of them are. But we don\'t kick them out or anything, cause they don\'t do any harm (so far).

Oh and btw tCoY is The Community of Vaalnor. Come on now.. :P

I\'ve been in five guilds... as Shalmaneser....

In four of them.... I was second in command, or close to it.....

In the one I\'m in now, I am of the lowest official rank.

Yes, I\'m in Deus Ex Trucido, and it\'s not a secret, but I am not in a position of leadership, and I am not responsible for this \'new\' guild.
