Approach a GM to stop roleplay? even if it is a stupid and illogical roleplay, I hope PlaneShift never comes to that.
Personally, I think I would point out the apparent flaws in ooc surronded by brackets.

Hmm.... so we have a few people ignoring it, a few people reporting it to GMs, a few people wondering what the heck is going on.

This surprises me though, because I would imagine there would be at least one \"individual\" saying how violent characters can\'t possibly be true role-players.

Perhaps there\'s hope afterall?

And no, Moogie.  It isn\'t a log from in-game.   Like I said, it\'s from a rather classic if obscur film.

And I\'m sure you\'d know more if you were of higher intelligence. :P

By given you mean a thread that lacks any form of explanation, which requires a guessing game to figure out whether you try to address speciffic event that took place in Planeshift, or want to compare scenes of movie to what can be seen in Planeshift, or want to learn what would be allowed and what not, or maybe even want to address other people with what you think should be allowed...

You always want me to explain every single thing in finite detail.  I appologize if I\'m not willing to bring myself down to such a level for your convenience.

Yeah, because when creating a thread, it isn\'t required to explain its topic throughfully in order to have a successful discussion. Nope, not at all.

And the above wasn\'t a sarcasm, nu-huh :P

And finite detail? Haha, I ask you to explain anything at all.
When discussing something it would be good if anyone besides you knew what you\'re talking about.

Like I said, it\'s your problem.  You\'re free to ignore any threads which you feel are beneath you intellectually.:)

Excuse me?
I pointed out numerous things that this thread might be about and asked you to clarify it.
One of the principles you have to take care of when creating a discussion thread is the \"why\".
Why must it be created, what good it will bring to the community. If it brings nothing besides a number of pointless posts, then it doesn\'t bring much.

If you\'re not going to clarify the actual reason behind it, then it\'ll be nothing more than a line of opinions (which afaik isn\'t a discussion). It won\'t go anywhere, it won\'t bring anything good.

And no personal ventures, mister.

So I\'m guessing you\'re not big on intuition?

Allow me to quote myself:

Feel free to point out which of those don\'t fit this thread. And give reasons!

Nah, ok just kidding :P
I know you won\'t do that. I\'m done.

Most people aren\'t into intuition.  We naturally feel curious, and feel annoyed when a \'secret\' like this one is kept from them, even if it is as small as this one.

I\'m just mentioning.

Yeah, except that everything here is out in the open, and Draklar has proven to have the habit of seeing secrets where there are none.  I don\'t hold it against him, but he needs to learn when to let things rest.

I think it\'s time these one-on-one arguments die down. If a thread starts trailing into the \"Why-was-this-posted\" territory (as this one really has been), a simple answer instead of a chasing game would be nice. But simply put, enough bickering ;)

Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.
