Halo is simply a different type of game, emerged from a whole different ground of growth.
I am a fan of bungie, these guys know how to produce under pressure, and they do it their way. I met the sound programmer once on the E3 and he was really nice, u could ask him lots of questions about the actual development, and it was fun.
These guys a hard working and brilliant, but this is different!
Planeshift is an open source project, and there is no way comparing the two in art or anything! Not to say PS is bad, of course not, its different. I might end up highlevel, and i personally believe so very much, but it is not to be compared with a high budget high end, mainly console based Action title, I mean, come on?!
So lets get back to the actual problem, lets work on what really matters for PS and the open source philosophy, the community! I am not able to run the game yet, but I am more then willing to work on it, to advertise it where and when I can, because I believe in the idea, not because I get paid to do so. This motivation might come to comercial studios when times are luckey, but they are not the rule.
And this motivation is what drives us, which is in a sense our capital, our budget

So, if anyone can think of a way to help me and others in need for a software-rendering solution, that\'ll be great!
