I think stone and wood are much too incongruous to work side-by-side like that.
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

While I love the step up to the platform, I agree - the stone and wood look odd together. What about some sort of wooden archway and wooden stairs - I know that sounds obvious... also there are parts of the outer inventory window overlapping the inner one with the character in it... I also know from expirence that it is nearly impossible to allign the derned things so that they mesh perfectly though after some fiddling I did figure out a way which involved these steps:

In the outer one make the entire inventory window including the inner part - all as one image.

Be sure that the old inventory is still the bottom layer.

copy and paste the old inner one into the new one, allign it with the old outer inventory window, then make all layers invisible and inactive except the old inner window, then use a select by color or contigious region to select the transparant area around it, then select inverted so that an area of the same size and location as the smaller inner window is selected - then reactivate the new inventory background, crop the image based on the selection, save it ias the inner png file, then undo those changes, and instead of cropping to that area, delete all content in that selected area.  Then you have two parts that mesh perfectly.

If theres one thing I\'ve learned from making this skin its that people have very different opinions about stuff. My personal preference is to have a bit of variety in things so that not everything looks the same. Dont worry though, hopefully I\'ll be able to address those changes that have been requested by popular opinion. So far on the list of optional mods for ths skin that I plan on making are:
Crystal buttons for the toolbar
a wooden chat-box
wooden arch in the inventory box

As for the skeleton parts.... I completely agree with suno-regin.... Only problem is, I cant decide what to use in its place. I will change it just as soon as I decide. Any suggestions?

And, Induane, Im not sure I understand what oyu mean when you say that there are parts of the outer inventory window ovelaping the inner one. Could you explain a bit more?

Anyway, thanks again to everyone who\'s given thier opinions and feedback. Certainly I wouldnt have made it this far without them.

Well, you could do what you did with the toolbar, and take the images from the default planeshift skin, wood cover them, and use them. Though, I have no idea how to do these things, so it might not be as easy as I think. :/

Barukaseek Skin

If you aren\'t using windows then this is probabily what you want - its as up to date as I have right now. I\'ll add another mirror as soon as Barukaseed touches up another version.  If you arne\'t using windows then tar.gz will work for you as a compressed file on linux, unixes, and Macs... well I guess they are all *nix\'s in a way ;)

Anyhoo if you need just a zip, let me know I suppose I could throw one up for you and post the link.

Several archivers (like WinAce, 7-zip, WinRar and multi-purpose archivers) will support tar.gz archiver without big problems; the only flaw is that you may have to descend into the tar archive inside the gz file (enter it 2 times) in some of them.

I\'ve taken the tar.gz file mentioned in previous post :

http://www.planeshift3d.com/wbboard/thread.php?boardid=22&threadid=20639&page=2#24

and uploaded a copy to my server. Hopefully saving the developers a bit\'o bandwidth, and downloaders some time.

Windows users with WinZip can use tar.gz files.
Right drag the tar.gz file and release it, you should see winzip on the context menu, select
Extract to c:\\blah\\XYZ.tar
click yes when it asks about extracting the tar file.

You can now copy/move the extracted files from the newly created barukaseedgui.tar directory to their final destination.

I was looking at your inventory menu. I think that perhaps the stone would fit the wooden back ground if it were a very dark clay color, almost blackish. It clashes with the brown would as it stands now.
