Where is the furnace?
« on: December 06, 2005, 06:25:46 pm »
I\'ve been looking for it whole day! The furnace has disapeared, so it seems. I need to find it to try to smelt some iron ores for the Harn quest...

Nikodemus - when it was introduced for the first time, it was placed somewhere else. ;)

The smithing stuff has to be implanted, but the furnace was finished, so why did they delete/replace it?

Ligh, I know it was somewhere else, but i don\'t expect to find furnance on field without any tools near and even roof which would protect it from rain. At least not in the form as it was modelled. I think smith house is much better place for it.  Bah, i wasn\'t in Ojaveda for ages and everythink could have changed...

I noticed too that the furnace in Ojaveda had disappeared, maybe the devs are moving things around to prepare for the complete integration of crafting? I know, wishfull thinking. :)

That furnace has disappeared a long time ago, first the stock casting place went away and the ore furnace not long after.

Crafting has already been worked on a long time ago but so far it still isn\'t stable enough to give it to the public as far as I understand. I\'m sure it won\'t be that far off though but we\'ll probably have to wait for the next big update.

According to Tarel, they placed it under Trasok\'s shop, just far away enough so we can\'t get our hands on it...

Well, I looked there yesterday - you were right: For the stock casting, you would need molten ore. No furnace, no melting.

If one looks thoroughly  enough, there is a furnace to be found on the second floor in Trasok\'s shop.

It\'s been there for quite some time now, as well as the stock casting.  ;)
