It's to dark!
« on: December 07, 2005, 07:02:23 pm »
I find that basically everywhere I go it\'s way to dark, the only places that are normal are the citys and the sewers. Everywhere else is incredibally dark. So I was thinking maybe they could make a spell of fire or something where you could use it as a lantern...or they could just make lanterns...or they could just make everything a bit more brighter.

Torches, fire spells, and items for basic lighting have all been requested many times before ;) I think right now -fullbright will fix your problems, so right-click on your PlaneShift shortcut, hit Properties, and then:

Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

Thing is, I was in ojaveda road, and it was almost pitch black in the middle of the PS day.  Couldn\'t see any detail of the terrain except for trees and NPCs.

See this thread for the fix, or if you don\'t have the patience to relight the map yourself (or if your client crashes in the process, as some people have reported), you can download a relighted map from this thread.

However, if the geometry for the Ojaveda road map has changed since the time the map in that second thread was created, things probably won\'t work right.  The safest way is to relight it yourself.

Unfortunately, until the official map is fixed, you\'ll have to relight after every time you run the updater, or keep a copy of the ojaroad01.zip and put it back in place after every time you update (and just hope the geometry hasn\'t changed).
