Hmm...

I did some exploring and found two items of interest...

Here is a screenie of one of them:

- running PlaneShift Mac OS X Tiger (10.4.11) Client, on an Apple iMac G5 2GHz PowerPC processor, 2GB DDR SDRAM, an ATI Radeon 9600 graphics card with 128MB VRAM, a 20-inch active-matrix LCD widescreen display, and a 250GB Serial ATA hard drive... so what's your excuse, huh?

I really like the idea of a sign system. Perhaps each sign has a 'name' [like 'Milepost 1', 'North Hydlaa gate', or 'Warning!'] which appears for all to see like a pet name.

Then the Description is there for when you look closer, [Like 'this way to Magic shop' or 'Beware of Tefusangs in the area!']

With signs, there would be a more easily rocognisable trail for people to find things at. Such as have signs named 'Street' which have descriptions with the street name on them, these could be types set up only by GMs and nobody can name a sign 'Street' except a GM. It would help new player find things. Then landmarks like the fallen stalagtites in the fields or the giant stalagmites could have GM approved names with 'Landmark' signs.

Then removable signs would be good for players who want to set up shops now and then, could tide us off until we can buy buildings of our own.

There are signposts, but we can't read them. I'd really love to know what it says, but I haven't seen a Yliaki - English dictionary/alphabet translator yet...
