Symbol
« on: December 18, 2005, 04:22:08 am »
I\'m working on a symbol/insignia of some sort for my guild, but i don\'t have photoshop installed anymore... So MS Paint will simply have to do :P Now, here is my first attempt at one...

The thing at the bottom is sort of a tree made of energy, also emitting energy upwards... this is because Rangers find their greatest ally in nature. Well... I\'d like them to anyways...

For lack of time and experience, I just took the MSPaint one into GIMP and touched it up a bit... i\'ll have to play around with this program since i am new to it...

If you want, I\'d like to give it a go with my PSP :)

I enjoy making websites, at least graphics for them, I could give a hand for your site too, if needed. Or is the website building going on?

Looks better now, but you really need to make the green field look less... plain.

looks cool farren, nice job.
There are two types of people in this world: The Pinky and the Brain.
Which one are you?

Yeah, looks pretty cool now.

Although now it seems to me somewhat like a nuclear explosion... And the green like radioactive waste =P

But umm, in the end... Don\'t mind me ;)

It\'s quite well done for a MS Paint work and with some help of that Gimp... But you can surely do much better with that photoshop you had...

For example here\'s a quick draft I did with Paint Shop Pro:

Edit: Moved to photobucket, so you can hopefully actually see it.

Gimp is fine for handling the other stuff, just MSPAINT isn\'t - that was fantastic work for only a MSPAINT drawing though!  The Gimp and Photoshop are extremely close on a feature comparision, with maybe one or two features lacking in gimp, but from my expirence with Photoshop those wern\'t necessary unless maybe you are an uberpro or something ;)

I used to make weapons and armor and iem icons for a friend-owned MMORPG that never really hit it off. I am a little out of practice though :P I made these things at like 32x32 pixels all pixel by pixel and eventually came out with some really nice stuff, and my teacher even wanted me to do a demonstrative speech on it, with a camera and show how I did it for the class
