This is new...

Well, simple fix:  Go into the setup and turn off sound.

Wait until after the next release (very soon).  Some sound bugs have been fixed.  In your case, I would also suggest updating your sound drivers.

More than likely, however, it has something to do with running Windows 98SE.  (and the low RAM isn\'t good either)  I wouldn\'t be surprised at any weird crap you get, in all honesty.

If anybody knows what any of that means, you\'re smarter than me.

It isn\'t 98SE, it\'s \'98 Plus!\'.

READ THIS BEFORE POSTING! ;) Disable sound for a fix.
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

Don\'t mean to sound like an idiot (even though I am) but... how do you disable sound?

Start -> Programs -> PlaneShift Crystal Blue -> PlaneShift Setup, then choose \"Off\" under Sound Options.

DaveG, erm, no. It\'s an operating system that was installed on my computer after it was repaired... the fifth time... and it\'s called Windows 98 Plus.

And thank you both for helping me, my stupidity, and my even stupider computer.  :P

*EDIT*
Total EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATIONS:
7C00724A (twice)
6FD33CF8
04A9BFB5 (at server crash)
0173B2D5 (at server crash)
00430EAC (also at server crash)

Erm, DaveG, (or anybody for that matter), if you could tell me what that gibberish means I would be most grateful.

Microsoft Plus, which had 95 and 98 versions, was a package of extras for windows.  Basically crap that should\'a came with it to begin with.  Some versions of windows came with it (I forget if they charged extra), which is probably what you have.  Yeah, that\'s arcane... you need to upgrade.  Find someone who can loan you their XP disk.  (and hasn\'t used it in 6 months)

The gibberish is usually just gibberish, but not in this case.  7C00724A very specifically means turn off sound.
